I’m seeing more and more articles about Facebook privacy blunders, people becoming sick of it, wanting to erase their account, etc. There is even a Facebook Exodus Planned for May 31. I have to say i am very pissed off at how Facebook appear to be trying by every sneaky method they can to make our info public. I tweaked my privacy settings the other night to lock my account can as much as is possible and it took ages. The menu’s and sub-menus are ridiculous. Clearly intended to make it as difficult as possible for you to protect your privacy.

Have a look at this chart to find your privacy settings. (click the picture and again on the top right of the picture to enlarge) I have made private as much as i possibly can. I have a selected friends list for a reason!

There’s articles floating around about how to delete your facebook account, how to make it more secure, there are people trying to create the anti-facebook, or if you can’t do without your facebook but want to lock it down then here’s how to quit facebook without quitting facebook!

I imagine very few can do without their facebook but i hope that all of this recent publicity over privacy blunders will force those at Facebook towers to do something about their constant fuckups! I just want somewhere secure to update my family and pals with personal photos and such, is it so much to ask?
