I think i’m starting to become a little too dependant on my iPod. Actually these books are great, they are from iTunes and every so often your bookshelf gets updated for with more books. Just go to the iTunes store, look in applications and search ‘classics’ (only works on iPod Touch and iPhone).

I was reading something earlier that suggested geeks share many character traits with those suffering Asperger syndrome (obsessive attention to detail, social awkwardness, and some difficulty relating to other people). So i took the test and – eek! Try it yourself if you have nerdish tendencies: http://www.piepalace.ca/blog/asperger-test-aq-test

As i mentioned before i’ve been looking for somewhere online to put my HD videos. I originally liked Vimeo because it’s a nice clean layout, it has a great community for budding film-makers and novices wanting to learn how to use their camcorders, there’s also plenty of videos to be inspired by. However it’s a bit restrictive (limited uploads unless you pay and even when you do you still have limited embeds unless you pay yet again). So i settled on Viddyou because i can upload as much HD video as i like and i can embed as much HD video as i like for a lot less money than Vimeo. I also like the fact that i can use it as an online backup for my videos and you can even upload 1080 video!

But anyway, YouTube (which is 1280×720 resolution). I must say i was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the HD videos! In fact i’d even say it’s slightly better than Vimeo which many consider to be the best quality. The other thing YouTube has going for it is its massive audience! Here’s one of my videos in HD on YouTube – bear in mind to embed your HD YouTube you have to apply a hack which is explained here: How to embed HD YouTube Videos.

But it’s still YouTube and it’s still overrun with annoying mental midgets who leave comments such as “yoo suck dick fukin nooooob!” etc etc etc. HD or no HD, it’s still a fucking dump and the last place you wanna leave your precious memories! It would be like parking your Porche on a drug and booze fuelled housing estate. No thanks.

Now, i hate Internet Explorer with a passion[1], for anyone designing websites, forum or blog themes it’s an absolute nightmare! The amount of tweakery pokery you have to go through to get some things to work … well it’s enough to make you scream. Which is why i praised the lord when Firefox came along. It seems like no matter what you throw at it, it just works. Or at least it did. I don’t know what in whore of Babylon hell they have done with Firefox 3 but on my pc it’s almost as unstable as Internet Explorer. It’s often crashing on me when i click on download links.

So now what? There’s Flock browser but that’s just a rip off of Firefox i think with a few social bits ‘n’ bobs bolted on. There’s Google Chrome which although is nice and speedy, it doesn’t display all websites properly. I guess there’s always Safari … but i’d miss my Firefox add-ons! *gahhhh!*. I hope they fix whatever the problem is and i know i’m not the only one having this problem with it. They should have left it as Firefox 2 – you know what they say, if it aint broke …
