Gathering Leaves

Horseshoe Pass

We took Pip for a walk up Horseshoe pass in Llangollen yesterday and she loved it! It was bright but very windy. I imagine it’s quite bleak in the winter. I took the pics and video on my little Lumix TZ7 compact camera and am quite pleased with how they came out. Scuse the camera shake and wind noise on the video, it was all we could do so stay standing upright never mind hold the cameras still!

Trusty old Minolta

I took this on my Konica Minolta Dimage A2. It’s a fabulous camera, the image quality is very good so i decided to get it out and take a few snaps with it. This was my fave.

I tried to capture him mid flight but the slippery little bugger was too fast and i only had my Cybershot compact camera on me (no manual focus, tut). Still not too bad – took a few other pics as well:

I was reading one of my photography magazines today and it said when photographing people in bright sunlight, try using your flashgun. Huh? says i. So i tried it and wow, what a difference it makes! It gets rid of the rather unflattering shadows and adds a bit of sparkle to the eyes too. So now i know.
