As a user of Playstation and someone who has suffered card fraud before, i’m a bit miffed!  – Sony confirmed that the ongoing PSN outage was caused by “malicious actions,” and indicates that there has also been “a compromise of personal information.” – Engadget. Sony have a FAQ on the situation here http://us.playstation.com/support/answer/index.htm?a_id=2356 and in a nutshell, the hacker probably took everything stored so now sit and wait to see if you have your identity stolen or cards used fraudulently.

This just confirms why i’m not keen to adopt the cloud. I know it’s a different thing but having my files and various bits of information stored online – no thanks. The only other place i have an account with is World of Warcraft and i’m scrapping that account and will start buying game cards instead. There’s always a risk and i don’t suppose you can ever fully stop that risk but you can be more careful and more vigilant and i sure as hell intend to be more that way.

Had a lovely day yesterday at the Weston Park Transport Show. I remember camping out at weston park when i was little, in full view of the mansion. Fabulous.

We’ve got some wood pigeons nesting in the huge tree between us and next door. The chics are liitle balls of fluff at the moment, didn’t manage to get a pic of them but i did get momma.

I can’t wait to get out and about with my camera this year. I’m going to save up for a new Olympus Pen i think. I hardly ever use my DSLR now, it’s too bulky to take on days out and i love my compact camera but i’d like better image quality.

I’m surprised to hear myself say it but i’m starting to tire of the woman. I loved her when i discovered her first album and Pokerface, loved Paparazzi, Bad Romance and Telephone but lately she seems to be heading so far up her own arsehole (which i imagine is lined with the finest D&G jewel encrusted rubber) that she’s becoming a monster in every sense of the word. Apparently God himself is writing her songs now – yet another thing he’s being blamed for.

My problem with GaGa isn’t her music so much – though her first two singles are hardly groundbreaking – but GaGa as a person; at least she is aptly named. She preaches (or rather God preaches via GaGa) about tolerance and acceptance:

“Whether life’s disabilities, left you outcast bullied or teased, rejoice and love yourself today.” – Lady GaGa

And then in the next breath she is flinging around the word retarded as she melts down on an interviewer who dared to mention the fact that Born This Way sounds like Madonna’s Express Yourself. I’m sure she wouldn’t use the term Gay to describe something as being naff – especially when she is trying so damn hard to get the gays on board so why use retarded?

I’m surprised she finds the Madonna comparison so offensive when it appears that she is living Madonna’s life from 1990 onwards. Lord knows Madonna has borrowed from other people but at least Madonna made it her own and she did tend to borrow from all over the shop and not hone in on one person. GaGa will never be Madonna, she doesn’t have her brains, business strength, calm and she certainly doesn’t have her ‘X-Factor’.

I think the hype (mostly perpetuated by GaGa herself) is going to her head, i think she truly believes she is the best thing ever and will be around forever. We’ll see. What is equally as scary is her older fans – i’ve seen middleaged mothers screaming “I LOVE YOU MUMMY MONSTER!!!” at her. What. The. Fuck. The whole thing seems very cultish.

Anyway, i wish her luck and i hope she one day re-discovers that charming young thing who was singing pokerface at her piano because right now she is a fucking (mother) monster and i predict she is going to have one hell of a meltdown at some point.
