Well not much time for blogging lately with all the house maintenance going on but I did manage to squeeze in a couple of computer upgrades (yay!). Me and t’other half had matching 12″ laptops. We’ve already got two 17″ Dell ones but wanted something more portable as well for carrying around. So we got two packard bell BG45 U300 laptops. We did look at netbooks but found the keyboards were too small so went for these instead.

And I have to say they have been brilliant so far. Very well built but the only thing letting them down was RAM (they only had 1GB) so over the weekend I upgraded them both to 3GB and the difference it has made is unreal! I’m thinking about possibly upgrading the 80GB hard drive to a 120GB solid state drive to make it even faster. It would work out much cheaper than buying a superfast ultraportable and to be honest i’m really attached to this little PB. Watch this space ….

I’ve been told that i have quite an addictive personality, i don’t mean with drugs and shit but with fads. Well, i’ve finally discovered World of Warcraft! People all over there world are losing husbands, wives and children to the cyber-crack-pipe that is WoW. I can’t get over this had been around since 2004 and i’ve not paid any attention to it until now. Although in a way that’s a good thing because unlike early adopters i don’t have to wait years for the expansion packs!

I knew before i even got my hands on it that i’d love it because i’m a big fan of Final Fantasy which is a similar thing. I have to say i think Final Fantasy is much better when it comes to combat & graphics but WoW is still addictive as fook! And the fact that it’s ever changing and growing is a good thing because once you’ve done Final Fantasy you’ve done it. But in theory you could just keep on playing World of Warcraft for as long as you like! Or at least as long as the little geeks at Blizzard keep on expanding the world.

I’m only a few days in and already my character (Night Elf) is at level 10 and i’m researching various macros and speaking of macros – Is it sad that i find the potential of this example macro exciting …

Not much on the blog update front and feck all twittering too, we’re redoing the office. Decorating is coming along nicely but we’re stuck with furniture. Everything we look at is either just too big or just too small, or a tad too wide, etc etc etc. Fuckery. When i’m stressed i listen to Burial, very relaxing stuff …. weird but relaxing.
